Abstract

This research report examines how 41 pre-service teachers design sustainability-related tasks for lower secondary school and reflect on them after a short, theory-informed intervention. We analyse which topics are addressed, how far tasks meet key mathematics-educational quality criteria, and the depth of participants’ theory-informed reflections. The results inform teacher education by indicating which criteria are salient in participants’ reflections and where explicit scaffolding is needed.
