Focusing on situations involving students’ mathematical errors, the instrument elicits teachers’ emotional responses, teaching actions, and the typical and emotional resources underlying their decisions. Data from a pilot sample of secondary mathematics teachers illustrate the instrument’s capacity to capture emotion intensity, action selection, and justificatory reasoning. The findings demonstrate the analytical potential of the instrument and inform its further refinement, contributing a scalable tool for systematic quantitative investigation of emotion–decision-making processes in mathematics teaching.
