Membership Terms and Conditions

These terms govern membership of the International Group for the Psychology of Mathematics Education (PME / IGPME), Registered Charity No. 1192932, England and Wales.
1. Eligibility
Membership is open to researchers, educators, and practitioners with a professional interest in the psychology of mathematics education, subject to payment of the annual membership fee.
2. Membership Fee
Fees are set by the Board of Trustees and reviewed annually.
3. Duration and Renewal
Membership is valid from 1 January to 31 December of each year. For members joining through Annual Conference registration, membership begins at the time of registration and continues through 31 December following the conference. Membership does not renew automatically.
4. Member Benefits
- Access to the PME Members Area (conference submissions, proceedings, resources)
- Reduced registration fee at the Annual PME Conference
- Voting rights at the Annual General Meeting
- Eligibility to stand for election to the Board of Trustees
- Receipt of the PME newsletter and official communications
5. Cancellation and Refunds
Members may cancel at any time by contacting info@igpme.org. No refund is provided for unused portions of the membership year unless required by applicable law.
6. Code of Conduct
All members are expected to uphold the PME Conference Code of Conduct and to engage respectfully with other members and the wider mathematics education community. IGPME reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for serious violations.
7. Data and Privacy
Member data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By becoming a member, you acknowledge that PME will hold your contact details and use them for membership administration and communications.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. PME is governed by its Constitution (adopted July 2022), available at igpme.org/constitution/.
